Client Review

Ashton Gate Stadium

Home of Bristol City Football Club and Bristol Rugby, Ashton Gate Stadium has recently undergone a major £45m renovation and now boasts an impressive 27,000-seat capacity, as well as new conference facilities, offices, a sports bar, café and shops.

Ashton Gate is now the South West’s largest multi-purpose conference, meeting, event, wedding and banqueting venue. The rooms range from private intimate boxes overlooking the pitch to the Lansdown Suite, which can accommodate up to 1,000 people theatre-style, or 850 for dinner.

Ashton Gate Stadium Bristol“We both attended the ‘Converting Enquiries into Sales’ training course at the DoubleTree – and both of us thought it was excellent.

We’ve been in our roles for some time so weren’t sure what to expect – but we needn’t have worried! Becky, the trainer, was very engaging and supportive. We came away with more confidence – to deal with customers and to overcome their objections.

The course should certainly help improve the customer experience – and our sales for the coming season!”

“I attended Tourism Growth’s ‘Boosting Your Sales on Social Media’ course at Bath Racecourse. Dave, the trainer, was excellent. Very enthusiastic and he kept the group engaged throughout. There were lots of visuals and handouts to take away to refresh the memory.

How will the course help us? Well, I now know about more social media platforms where we can advertise and promote the stadium. And I now have lots more ideas on how to get our venue out there!”

“We were delighted to host one of Tourism Growth’s training courses here recently at Ashton Gate. It was in the Directors’ Box as well – with a great view out over the pitch!

Three of our team have already attended Tourism Growth’s courses in Bristol and Bath. They all came back feeling very positive, and with some really good ideas for the business.”
