Discover Bolton’s historic halls – Hall ‘i ‘th Wood Museum, a Grade I, 16th century half-timbered hall, and Smithills Hall, which dates back to the 14th century.

At Bolton Museum, you can visit the ‘Bolton Lives’ local history gallery, explore Egyptology and take in some beautiful paintings and sculptures. You can also trace your family tree or take your very own personal journey into the past in the ‘History Centre’. The Aquarium – the only one of its kind in Greater Manchester – has stunning displays of freshwater fish from all over the world.

“I’ve now attended two Tourism Growth training courses this year in Manchester – ‘Managing Your Reputation Online‘ and ‘Boosting Your Sales on Social Media‘.

Both were brilliant courses. The trainer was excellent – very informative, knowledgeable and happy to answer all the questions I had. He engaged everyone and related everything, with live examples, to our individual businesses and requirements.

The handouts were great too. Really helpful to take away and have as an extra resource.

Tourism Growth’s courses have helped me to engage online with our target markets. I’d thoroughly recommend them to other local authorities and visitor attractions.”
