Boston’s magnificent 14th century medieval Guildhall, built by the Guild of St Mary, is a testament to the wealth and influence of the town when its power as a centre of trade was second only to London.
Boston will take part in the celebrations in 2020 to mark the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower’s pioneering voyage. Visitors to the Guildhall can still see today the cells where some of the Pilgrims were held and tried before their epic journey.
Today, Boston Guildhall is home to the town’s museum and Tourist Information Centre. It is also a stunning venue for weddings, business meetings and events, private functions, concerts and exhibitions.
“The two Tourism Growth courses I attended – ‘Boosting Your Sales on Social Media’ and ‘Managing Your Reputation Online’ – were excellent. Both training days were very informative and I enjoyed them very much.
They gave me a real insight into the opportunities each social media platform offers our business and the different audiences they attract – and I learnt ways to take advantage of free marketing!
I also learnt how to discover customer reviews, the approach I should take to respond to them, and ways to manage our business reputation online.
David is a great trainer. I really liked looking at each delegate’s business profile on-screen – and hearing all the quality information, advice and comments that followed as a result.
How will we benefit from the courses at Boston Guildhall? I’ve no doubt they will help us reach a wider audience – and help increase our bookings, sales, traffic and footfall.
Thank you Visit Lincoln for making these courses available!”
