Lantra is a nationally recognised awarding organisation, with over 40 years’ experience of developing quality training and qualifications. Their products and services are designed specifically to meet the needs of those working in the land-based and environmental industries.
Tourism Growth began working in partnership with Lantra back in 2013, with the aim of delivering a series of training courses for independent tourism businesses in rural areas across the length and breadth of England.
Training for Rural Tourism Businesses
Following the success of our initial partnership, we contracted once again with Lantra to deliver a new, more extensive programme of ‘open’ training courses around the country.
What’s more, Tourism Growth was appointed by Lantra as their main training provider to lead their work with rural tourism businesses across England.
“The feedback from rural tourism businesses attending the Tourism Growth training workshops has been excellent – and confirms that we made the right choice of partner!”
Jacqui Bruce – Business Relationship Manager, Lantra
Over 500 Businesses Attended
Working in partnership with destination management organisations and employer associations, we ran 64 training courses at locations across England – from Cornwall to Northumberland – which were attended by 536 rural tourism business owners and managers.
A big attraction for the businesses was the Lantra subsidy we were able to offer them – which made a significant contribution towards of the costs of their delegate fees.
Furthermore, we were also able to apply the funding to subsidise our In-House training courses with selected clients.
The training courses were hugely popular and included:
- Using Social Media for Your Business
- Managing Your Reputation Online
- Getting the Most from Your Website
- Selling Skills for Food and Drink Businesses
- Revenue Management for Hotels
- Relationship Marketing for Tourism Businesses
- Creating the Right First Impression
- Leading Your Team and Your Business
- Marketing Your Wedding Venue
